一、关于指示、行为单据化的规定
“If a credit contains a condition without stipulating the document to indicate compliance with the condition, banks will deem such condition as not stated and will disregard it.”
赋予开证申请人和开证行的义务：
（1）要求其开证指示和信用证指示（包括修改）应该完整明确；
（2）要求指示、行为单据化。

Terms such as "first class", "well known", "qualified", "independent", "official", "competent" or "local" used to describe the issuer of a document allow any issuer except the beneficiary to issue that document.

三、关于单据正、副本的规定
At least one original of each document stipulated in the credit must be presented.
If a credit requires presentation of multiple documents by using terms such as "in duplicate", "in two fold" or "in two copies", this will be satisfied by the presentation of at least one original and the remaining number in copies, except when the document itself indicates otherwise.

【案例】
我方粮油进出口公司于4月与英国乔治贸易公司成交一笔棉籽油生意，总数量840公吨，允许分批装运。来证中对装运条款规定如下：“840 M/Tons of Cottonseed Oil, Loading port: Guang Zhou, Partial shipments are allowed in tow lots, 460M/Tons to London not later than September 15, 2004. 380M/Tons to Livepool not later than October 15, 2004.”
我方公司于8月3日在黄浦港装运305公吨至伦敦，8月末再继续装运155公吨，两批共为460公吨，均装运至伦敦。9月末装运305公吨至利物浦，其余75公吨于10月初装运利物浦。出口方办理议付后即向开证行寄单索汇。
