【双语】CNN污蔑中国代表团，结果闹了个大乌龙！

5月24日，针对美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）恶意中伤一事，中国代表团发表严正声明称，报道完全不符合事实。

The Chinese delegation to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022 in Davos has refuted a CNN report on Monday that quoted a US politician as saying they walked out of the room without applauding after a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

近日，美国CNN造谣中伤正在瑞士达沃斯参加世界经济论坛的中国代表团，谎称乌克兰总统泽连斯基视频演讲结束时全场起立鼓掌，但中国代表团未起立鼓掌并离场。

中方则澄清说中方代表团当时有其他议程，根本就没有参加那场演讲。

The allegation is "totally untrue", according to the Chinese delegation. When Zelensky made the virtual speech on Monday, the delegation was not at the site but in talks with Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency, it said.

参加世界经济论坛年会的中国代表团严正声明，该报道完全不符合事实。泽连斯基演讲时，中国代表团正在与国际能源署署长法提赫·比罗尔（Fatih Birol）会谈。

当地时间5月23日上午，正在瑞士达沃斯举行的世界经济论坛，邀请乌克兰总统泽连斯基通过视频的方式发表了一场演说。

CNN interviewed United States congressman Michael McCaul, who was attending the forum. McCaul claimed that he took a photograph showing the Chinese delegation seated while other people were giving a standing ovation, and that the members then left the room.

这场演讲结束后，当时在现场参会的美国政客迈克尔·麦考尔（Michael McCaul），突然找到了美国CNN的新闻主播约翰·伯曼（John Berman），称他拍到了一张“中国代表团”在泽连斯基讲话结束后拒绝鼓掌，还迅速离席的照片。

The photo McCaul showed in the program features four men with Asian faces. "They were sitting right behind me," McCaul told CNN. "That picture that was taken by me actually sending a clear message: They do not support Ukraine. They do not support Zelensky."

照片上有四位亚洲面孔的嘉宾。这个美国政客称“他们就坐在我身后”，还指控说，“中国代表团”的做法说明他们“不支持乌克兰”。

According to Vietnamese media reports, Le Minh Khai, deputy prime minister of Vietnam, led a delegation to the WEF meeting on Monday.

越南媒体的报道也证实了这一点，越南副总理黎明慨（Le Minh Khai）周一带团参加了当天该活动。

Birol, the IEA's executive director, said on Twitter on Monday that he had "excellent discussions at Davos with my old Friend Xie Zhenhua, China's special climate envoy on climate change".

而当时与中国代表团会面的国际能源署署长法提赫·比罗尔也在推特上发布了贴文，称“在达沃斯，我与老朋友、中国气候变化事务特使解振华，就全球能源市场形势以及如何确保应对气候变化的措施成为政策制定的核心进行了精彩的讨论。”

The irresponsible allegation of the US politician and CNN has triggered anger among many Chinese netizens, who condemned the claims. "CNN is really fake news" .

CNN的不实报道也引起了不少中国网友的不满，大家表示CNN已经成为了污蔑抹黑中国的谣言制造机。

目前CNN新闻主播约翰·伯曼及美国政客迈克尔·麦考尔均删除了其号称的“中国代表团”照片。
